Overview: As a software developer at CHERUKURU TECHNOLOGIES & CONSULTING LTD, you will be at the forefront of innovation, working on exciting projects and collaborating with a diverse team of professionals. Your role will involve writing, modifying, and testing software code, as well as maintaining existing programs and communicating technical solutions to stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

1. Write, Modify, and Test Code: Develop high-quality software code using various programming languages such as R, Java, JavaScript, Python, and Ruby on Rails.
2. Maintain Existing Programs: Make modifications to existing computer programs as required, ensuring they meet the needs of clients and end-users.
3. Communicate Technical Solutions: Effectively communicate technical problems, processes, and solutions to team members and clients, fostering collaboration and problem-solving.
4. Documentation: Prepare reports, manuals, and other documentation on the status, operation, and maintenance of software, ensuring comprehensive documentation of all projects.
5. Requirements Gathering: Assist in the collection and documentation of user requirements, working closely with clients to understand their needs and preferences.
6. Specifications Development: Contribute to the development of logical and physical specifications for software projects, ensuring alignment with client objectives and industry standards.
7. Research and Evaluation: Stay updated with the latest software products and technologies through research and evaluation, identifying opportunities for improvement and innovation.
8. Specialized Programming: Program animation and special effects software for interactive CDs, DVDs, video game cartridges, and internet-based applications, delivering immersive user experiences.

Experience and Specialization:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or a related field.
• Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in software development.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in servers, enterprise applications integration (EAI), object-oriented programming languages, communication software, web service design, and database software.
• Software Development Tools: Experience with API, Git, Go, and React Native.
• Additional Skills: Familiarity with fast-paced environments, ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines, attention to detail, and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
